APSA nomination for EC Seats is now open!

Subject: Election of three (3) Executive Committee Members
Dear All,
APSA announces the opening for nominations of the following vacant seat in our Executive Committee for 2009-2012.
- All nominations shall come from companies/organizations whose APSA membership is currently active.
- All nominators shall come from companies/organizations whose APSA membership is currently active. Nominators should come from the same membership category as the nominee.
- Candidates may only run for seats under their company's membership category.
- Nomination form, upon completion, must be sent to APSA Secretariat on or before 31 August 2009.
- The current APSA Executive Committee, through the Secretariat, shall formally confirm the acceptance of the nominee?s name, in accordance with the basic set of rules for EC nomination.
- Confirmed nominees must attend the election to be conducted at APSA General Assembly Meeting on 11 November 2009 in Bangkok, Thailand. Nominees will be given a few minutes to introduce themselves to the Assembly before the casting of votes through secret ballots.
- Only Associate Members may vote for a nominee under Associate Member Category.
About APSA Executive Committee
APSA Executive Committee is made up of 16 members-two (2) from National Seed Associations; three (3) from Government Offices/Agencies; nine (9) from Public/Private Sector category; and two (2) from Associate Member category. Aside from the elected 16 members, there is also one ex-officio member from FAO. APSA Executive Committee is responsible for directing the activities of the Association.
