Calling all breeders!Tospovirus and Thrips Vectors Workshop at Asian Seed Congress 2009

Asia and Pacific Seed Association is putting more focus this year on the discussion on tosporviruses that are affecting various main crops in the region.
As such, we call on you and your breeders and other technical staff to attend APSA-AVRDC Workshop on Tospovirus and Thrips Vectors on 8 November 2009 as a pre-Congress event to Asian Seed Congress 2009 which will be held in Bangkok, Thailand. After this program, you may also attend the rest of the Congress events (if you register for the full event):
1. Technical Session on 9 November with the following topics:
a. Molecular-marker assisted breeding
b. Access to Gene Banks
c. Food and Crop Production Prospects in Asia and the Pacific Region
d. Thailand Seed Industry
2. Meetings
a. Standing Committee Meetings on Plant Variety Protection, Seed Quality on 10 November.
b. Special Interest Group Meetings in Vegetables, Field Crops, Hybrid Rice on 11 November.
