Sustainable agriculture through the production and trade of quality seeds for the world.
Objective
To improve production and trade of quality seeds and planting materials of agricultural and horticultural crops by:
- Creating regional forums to formulate recommendations on seed policy issues.{/color]
- Stimulating technical and economic co-operation among seed enterprises in the region.
- Systematically interchanging information on various aspects of seed. (breeding, production, conditioning, quality control and marketing)
- Strengthening relationship with FAO, ISF, ISTA, UPOV, and others.
