Plantum is the Dutch association for companies active in breeding, production and trade of seeds, tubers, bulbs, cuttings, tissue culture and young plants. Mrs. De Roos works for Plantum as a legal counsel responsible for intellectual property rights and seed legislation. She is also responsible for the potato section within Plantum.
Mrs. De Roos is a member of the intellectual property committee of ISF, member of the intellectual property committee of Euroseeds, member of the intellectual property committee of VNO-NCW which is the Dutch association for businesses, she is chairperson of the advisory board on variety testing of Naktuinbouw, member of the advisory board of the international PVP toolbox program of Naktuinbouw and is one of the deputy judges at the plant breeders rights chamber of the IP Court in The Hague. She graduated in corporate law with a specialisation in intellectual property law at Leiden University.
